Hans Ulrich Obrist's IT'S URGENT features Across and In-Between in Zurich

A poster image from Suzanne Lacy's Across and In-Between, by collaborating artist Helen Sloan SMPSP, featuring a statement from the project's Yellow Manifesto - A True Account of a Border and its People will open as part of It's Urgent - Part II in Zurich this weekend until end of January 2020.

Curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, It's Urgent will feature poster artworks and associated 'instructions' including work by Yoko Ono, Eileen Myles, Pierre Huyghe, Jimmie Durham, Judy Chicago, Douglas Coupland and many more.

"Many of these poster projects take the form of proposals that are practical and realisable, rather than imaginary utopias. Themes of ecology, inequality, togetherness and a common future are frequently addressed. In the words of Etel Adnan: ‘The world needs togetherness, not separation. Love, not suspicion. A common future, not isolation ... If there was ever a time when the world needed the radical ideas, visions and perspective on society of artists, it’s now – and it’s urgent."
